Thank you for all of the phonecalls, texts, and messages today. I appreciate every one of them and have tried to answer as many as possible. I arrived at Physician's East this morning at 0930. I drank two large cups of what tasted like Tang, had an iv put in (with one stick), and waited for about thirty minutes. I then had a CT of my head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. I was finished at 10:45, and was allowed to go get some lunch. I hadn't eaten since about 9pm last night, so the countrystyle steak at K&W tasted much better than usual today! I had to be back by noon to get my bone scan. I arrived at 11:45, and they were ready for me. The bone scan wasn't bad either, but by the time I was able to get up, I was experiencing right much lower back pain. When I went to leave, I told the tech, "This is when you tell me you didn't see anything suspicious." Of course she gave me the line about not being able to give me my results. Before I walked out though, she smiled and said, "I'll tell you this much. If I see anything suspicious, I'm supposed to take more pictures and get a better look. I didn't take any extra pictures of you."

I was told that Dr. Habal, my surgeon, would hopefully have the results in a couple of days. I'll give him until Friday afternoon, and if I haven't heard from him, I'll give his office a call.

Thank you so much for all of the support today. I definitely felt it. I will let you know as soon as I get the results. As of right now, I do not have any more appointments before surgery on the 7th.

It's Monday, April 29th. I am NPO after midnight for my scans tomorrow. I have to be there at 0930 to drink the contrast, and my first scan is at 1030. These scans will tell us if there is any sign of cancer anywhere else in my body. I don't know when I will get the results. Please pray for me tomorrow; I am very anxious about these tests. I am having a bone scan, plus CT of the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. I will post the results as soon as I get them. Thank you.

I want to thank Cindy for taking the time to set this blog up for me. You'll never know what a relief this is. I also want to thank all of you for caring enough to visit the site and offer your support and encouragement. I met with my surgeon for the second time today, and this is what the plans are thus far.......

I will be having a total right mastectomy at the Surgicenter in Greenville on Wednesday, April the 7th. I have to be there at 09:45 and am scheduled for 10:45. I will not know until the surgery is completed whether chemotherapy or radiation is required. That will depend on what is found in my lymph nodes.

On Tuesday, March 30th, I will be having some scans done at Physician's East to determine if there are problems anywhere else. This is usually set up by oncology, but I have two weeks before surgery, plus will have to recover before seeing them. This way, I am making the most of my time......

That's all there is to tell right now. I am doing extremely well except for a cold. I am in good spirits and have a very positive outlook. I can definitely tell that people are praying for me. I refuse to ask God why this is happening to me. He is a great God, and I trust Him completely. Please continue to pray for me, as well as my family. I thank you, and my family thanks you........
